2017 Oregon State Tax Credit Good News for Wood Stove Buyers!
GREAT news for Oregon State Residents! Through the end of 2017, Oregon State is offering a huge tax credit for the purchase of a new, high efficiency, wood stove with an "actual measured efficiency". That means Oregon residents can SAVE between $792.00-$1,152.00 MORE on three of the highest efficiency, cleanest burning, stoves in the country!
Oregon State Criteria:
Installed in an Oregon residential dwelling (includes primary, secondary and residential rental properties)
Max emissions of 2.5 g/hr for catalytic/hybrid wood stoves
Stoves much be purchased December 31, 2017 and operational by April 1, 2018 to meet the program's sunset.
Tax Credit Formula for Qualifying Stoves: If there is an Actual Measured Efficiency listed on the EPA List, that meets the emission requirements listed above, use the following calculation (up to $1500 credit, but no more than 50% of purchase price, whichever is less): 12,000 x (Device Efficiency – .66) x $0.60 = tax credit. Example: 12,000 x (.81 -.66) x $0.60= $1,080.00 Progress Hybrid Oregon State Tax Credit
Tax Credit for Wood Stove without an "Actual Measured Efficiency": The Fireview, Keystone, and Palladian models all qualify for the modest tax credit amount of $216.00.
